| Sailing History | | The first day | The word "yacht" (Yacht) and "yachting" (with sailing yacht) from the Dutch word "jaghen", which means chase, hunt. At the end of the 16th century the word "jaght" used to describe any light and fast boat which was used for trade, warfare or recreation. The idea began sailing from the Netherlands, and was the largest Naval Force in the 16th and 17th century. The first yachts used occasionally for recreation, but serve mainly transport and communication purposes, and proved a very useful lee waters in the Netherlands .
